Meeting at PM house to select new CBI chief

New Delhi, Dec 1 (IBNS) A meeting has been called at the 7 Race Course residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening to pick a new CBI chief, said reports.
The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge  and the Chief Justice of India.  
A director will replace present Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) chief Ranjit Sinha who is retiring. 
 
 President Pranab Mukherjee earlier gave his consent to the amended procedure of CBI chief selection under which the Leader of Opposition will be included in the selection process.
