Maneka Gandhi launches online system for women to report workplace sexual harassment

New Delhi, Jul 24 (IBNS): Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, on Monday, launched an online complaint system for women to register complaints related to sexual harassment at workplace.

Called the ‘Sexual Harassment e-Box’ or the 'SHe-box', it will be accessible to central government women employees to start with and will be later extended to women employees from the private sector as well, the minister said.

Launching the portal from her office in New Delhi, the minister said that her department is also planning to conduct a national survey to assess the nature and magnitude of sexual harassment at the the workplace, media reported.

Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Krishna Raj and Secretary Rakesh Srivastava were also present.
