Nagpur, Jun 17 (UNI) A 32-year-old person was arrested from Arvi tehsil of Wardha district on the alleged charge of causing injury to an eight-year-old Dalit boy, police said on Monday.

According to police, accused Umesh alias Amol Dhore on Saturday tied hands of Aryan Khadse and forced him to sit on the sweltering floor as he suspected that Khadse had stolen coins, while playing in the premises of Jogona Mata temple.

Based on the complaint of the victim's father, the Arvi Police Station filed a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Prevention of Atrocities Act.
Further investigation into the case is underway, added the police.
