Mamata Banerjee wishes President Kovind for completing one year in office

Kolkata, July 25 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday congratulated President Ram Nath Kovind as he completed one year in office.

"Congratulations to @rashtrapatibhvn Kovindji for completing one year as President of our country on July 25. Please accept our regards in your journey of statesmanship," Banerjee tweeted.

Apart from Mamata, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the President on the special occasion.

"Congratulations to Rashtrapati Ramnath Kovind Ji on completing 1 year in office.," Modi tweeted.

"He’s endeared himself to every Indian with his wisdom and humility. He is extremely well versed in key policy issues. Rashtrapati Ji is also passionate about empowering the youth, farmers & poor," he said.

Kovind took oath on July 25, 2017 after getting elected as the 14th head of the state.

He is the second Dalit President of India after KR Narayanan.
