Mamata Banerjee says 'I am in INDIA alliance, it's coming to power'

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday reiterated that she will continue to be in the INDIA alliance, which the Trinamool Congress supremo claims is coming to power ousting the Modi government.

Addressing an election rally in Sagar, Mamata said, "I am in the INDIA alliance, which is probably coming to power. We will lead the alliance to form the government."

Days ago, Mamata had cleared that she will continue to be a part of the central government if formed by the INDIA bloc.

Mamata said, "I am very much part of INDIA... it was my brainchild. We are together at the national level and will continue to be together."

Banerjee, however, made it clear on both occasions that she does not see the Congress' state unit and the CPM, as allies.

"But when I say this, I don't include Bengal Congress and CPI-M because they are with the BJP," the Trinamool Congress chief added.

The last two phases of elections will be held on May 25 and June 1.
