Kolkata, Aug 20 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government over several of its schemes and projects and said it was breaking the federal structure of the country.

During a press conference here at state's main administrative building Nabanna, Mamata Banerjee said, "Breaking the federal structure, the Centre is forcibly announcing projects and schemes, without consulting with us."

"In the name of cooperative federalism, they are bulldozing states' opinions, which is called dictatorship," she further said.

Mocking the ministries at the Centre, Banerjee said, "All ministries at the Centre, except Rail, External Affairs, Finance and Defence, should be obsoleted as the remaining ministries don't have any function."

"I am saying with guarantee that over 70000 industrialists left our country after being tortured by several Centre-run agencies, including Income Tax, CBI and ED," Banerjee added.

Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modie, Mamata Banerjee said, "Who are you Prime Minister? You are in the chair for five years only. Why are you so arrogant and overbearing?"

Mamata Banerjee alleged that state's affairs were being interfered during the current BJP government's rule.

"The Centre is interfering in the functions, including the constitutional provision, of the state. We will protest against it before the President of India," Banerjee said.

"We all should protest against the Centre's policies, as people of India become subservient in under Modi's rule," she added.

Claiming Modi's failure in resolving Kashmir problem, Banerjee said, "The situation is just like Presidential rule has been implemented in the country."

"As they are trying to break federal structure and establish dictatorship in the country, disasters in Jammu & Kashmir and India's Pakistan-policy, and, diplomacy failure on NSG issue were occurred," she said.
