Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday announced the revised schedule for the Higher Secondary (HS) examinations (for class 12) as the dates have clashed with the upcoming byelections announced by the Election Commission.

"I fail to understand why these two byelections were not conducted by the Election Commission along with the five state elections held very recently," Banerjee said blasting at the poll body.

"They (EC) call election dates in phases as per the direction of the BJP," the Chief Minister added.
