Make In India event fire unfortunate: Khan
"The fire at Chowpatty was most unfortunate but the crisis was very well handled by the Mumbai Police, Fire Dept & the Maharashtra Govt," Khan tweeted.
"The evacuation was carried out smoothly resulting in no casualties and no panic," he said.
Appreciating the evacuation moves made by the government, Khan said, " The CM stayed till the end to oversee the evacuation. Excellent disaster management."
A massive fire broke out during a cultural programme of the Make In India week event in Mumbai on Sunday.
14 fire engines,10 water tankers rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
No one has been hurt in the incident.
Several celebrities and politicians were present at the spot when the fire broke out, reports said.
The venue was evacuated immediately after flames were spotted, officials said.
