Major IPS reshuffle in West Bengal, 55 senior cops including 52 IPS officials transferred

Kolkata/IBNS: In a major reshuffle of the top brass of the police, the West Bengal government on Monday night transferred 55 senior police officials, including 52 IPS and three WBPS officers, officials said.

According to reports, 55 senior police officials working with the Kolkata Police as well as the state police force have been transferred today by the state government.

In the police reshuffle order, it has been found that some officials are promoted to a higher rank and some are transferred to different posts under the same rank.

Meanwhile, DIG Medinipur Range, Kunal Aggarwal, has been sent on 'compulsory waiting'.
