Major fire breaks out at Mumbai snack shop, at least 12 killed

Mumbai, Dec 18 (IBNS): At least 12 people died after a fire broke out at a snack shop in Mumbai on Monday morning, reports said.

The accident took place in Mumbai's Saka Naki area at around 4 am.

The shop, situated near the Laxmi Narayan Temple on Khairani Road, also collapsed.

According to NDTV, about 15 workers were inside the establishment when the fire broke out.

The blaze soon spread and engulfed the electric wiring, furniture et al.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Disaster Control team pulled out 12 bodies from the site, who are yet to be identified.
