Maharashtra: Youth shot at by wife’s kin

Pune, May 10 (UNI) A 20-year-old youth was shot at Jangli Maharaj road here by his wife’s uncle since he was unhappy with their inter-caste marriage.

In this connection, three persons have been held while the main accused is absconding, police said.

A complaint filed by the victim, Tushar Pisal on Thursday said that he married the girl last year against her family's wishes as it was an inter-caste marriage.

Meanwhile, Tushar is being treated at a private hospital here and his condition is stated to be critical, police said.

The arrested persons are Akash Taware, Sagar Taware and Sagar Palwe, police added.
