Maharashtra: Villagers suspect five men to be child abductors, kill them

Dhule , July 1 (IBNS): Villagers in Maharashtra's Dhule area on Sunday killed five people after they were suspected to be child kidnappers, media reports said.

According to reports, one of the men tried to speak to a child after getting down from a state-run bus in Rainpada village.

Villagers reportedly started to thrash him as they suspected the person to be a kidnapper.

Soon others joined them and five persons were killed in mob violence, police was quoted as saying by NDTV.

The police have taken 15 people in custody so far.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

Bodies have been sent to a hospital close to Pimpalner area.
