Maharashtra: Three youths die in motorcycle-tempo collision in Kolhapur

Kolhapur/UNI: Three youths were killed in a motorcycle-tempo head-on collision at Jainapur village in Shirol tehsil of this district, near Kante Maka on Kolhapur-Sangli bypass road on late Sunday, police said.

According to Jaysingpur police, the deceased were identified as Gunpal Nandkmar Roje (27), Suhas Kothavale (26), both resident of Majale village in Hatkanangale tehsil and Anjikya alias Vipul Ramesh Patil-Raigonda (26), from Danoli village.

They were on way to their home by motorcycle. When they were at near Patwardhan poltry farm in Jainapur village, a speedy tempo, which was on way to Kolhapur direction, collided head-on with the motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of the youths.

In this incident, Gunpal and Vipul were killed on the spot due to sever head injury, while Suhas Kothavale was seriously injured, who rushed to Sangli Civil hospital, but he died on the way. After the incident, tempo driver absconded from the spot.
