Maharashtra: Three killed, 7 injured as cruise car rams into stationary Eicher Vehicle

Nashik:  Three members of a family, including a 18-month-old baby,  were killed and 7 others injured when a cruise car they were travelling in rammed into a stationary Eicher vehicle on the Samruddhi Express Highway at Kokamthan Shiwar in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra past midnight last night.

The deceased were identified as Santosh Ashok Rathod ( 30), Avni Santosh Rathod (18 months) and Varsha Santosh Rathod ( 27) succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital, police said.

The victims are residents of Ner village in Mantha Taluk of Jalna District.

The injured were undergoing treatment at Atma Malik Hospital.

The bodies was brought to Kopargaon Rural Hospital in the ambulance for autopsy and further investigation is underway, police added.
