Maharashtra: Three held for gang-raping 7-yr-old in Thane

Thane, Sep 23 (UNI) The Thane police has arrested three persons on the alleged charges of gang-raping a seven- year-old girl, police said on Monday.

According Police Inspector Yeshwant Chavan of Bazarpeth police station, the trio worked in shops in Kalyan town. On September 19, after the school they took the victim, a second standard student, on some pretext to a dilapidated building and assaulted her sexually.

The arrested have been identified as Navin Jasuza (240, Ajay Dehare (34) and Vikram Purohit (19). They were produced before the magistrate after arrest on September 20 and remanded into police custody till September 24.

The accused have been booked under POCSO.
