Mumbai, July 13 (IBNS): The Maharashtra government on Friday announced that from Aug 1, outside food will be allowed in the multiplex cinema halls across the state.

Food supply minister Ravindra Chavan announced the government’s decision and warned of punishment for not following the order.

The state government is also likely to ask multiplexes to cut the MRP of food items being sold in its premises.

The government is all set to hold a meeting with multiplexes to ask them to slash the food prices and keep them at par with market levels.
