Maharashtra: Eight killed in separate accidents in Marathwada

Aurangabad (Maharashtra) May 6 (UNI) Eight persons were killed and as many injured in two separate road accidents in Latur and Hingoli district of Marathwada region.

In Latur district, when Sonkamble family was returning to their house after attending a marriage ceremony on Sunday night, their four-wheeler collided with a fodder laden tempo at Shirur Mukhed road, killing five on the spot. Six others were injured in the incident, police said.

The deceased were identified as Arvind Sonkable (27), Dhynoba Sonkable(40), Puspa Sonkamble (45), Kantabai Sonkamble (55) and Chakuli Sonkamble (6).

The injured are being treated at Udgir hospital.

In another incident at Hingoli district night last, an Indica car was en route to Washim from Akola when it rammed into a tree on Washim-Hingoli road in district, killing two occupants on the spot. The third succumbed to the injuries in the hospital.

The deceased were identified as Muktar Ka Gaffar KA (60), Abugar Gaffar KA (10) and Sakekun Be Jabbar Khan (60) all hailing from Malegaon, police added.
