Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently visited Prayagraj and took a holy dip in the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam to take part in the Maha Kumbh Festival.

The Maha Kumbh, which began on Monday, is the largest religious gathering in the world.

The Triveni Sangam marks the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati.

"Today at the holy place Prayagraj, I am feeling fulfilled after taking a bath and meditating at the Maha Kumbh, a symbol of India’s eternal spiritual heritage and folk faith," Singh posted on X.

The Maha Kumbh is expected to attract millions of pilgrims from across the globe.

It will continue till February 26.
