Madhya Pradesh: Top court refuses to interfere with High Court order in Vyapam scam case
The apex court said that it will not interfere with the Madhya Pradesh High Court order which cancelled the admission of 634 MBBS students between 2008 and 2012, media reported.
It was alleged that these students had got admitted to various medical colleges in the state through illegal means.
These students had cleared the entrance tests for medical colleges conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Vyavasayik Pareeksha Mandal (Vyapam) or Professional Examination Board, according to media reports.
Following orders of the apex court, the Vyapam scam was referred to the CBI in July 2015 on the orders of the top court.
Meanwhile, the case hit the national headlines, with the mysterious deaths of 34 people linked to it under various circumstances.
