Loya death: Congress seeks fair probe, Rahul targets Amit Shah

New Delhi, Apr 19 (IBNS): The Congress party on Thursday demanded a fair investigation into the death of judge B H Loya.

This comes after the party expressed dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court verdict that rejected pleas seeking a probe into the death of judge Loya.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi also targeted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah over the verdict and said the truth will eventually come out.

Slamming BJP further, the Congress party said, "BJP's attempts to make false political capital out of Supreme Court Judgement must be condemned."

The party further said that if he died of heart attack, then why is the government "shying away from probe."

Judge Loya, who was hearing the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case in which BJP President Amit Shah was an accused,  died of a heart attack in 2014.

His death raised questions from certain quarters about the possibility of a foul play.

Amit Shah was an accused. Amit Shah was discharged by a new judge, who said there wasn't enough evidence to merit a trial.
