New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) Denied ticket by the BJP, party's Muslim face of Bihar Shahnawaz Hussain said on Saturday that he may not be contesting elections this time but he will put in all his efforts to once again make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of the country.

"My party has always kept faith in me and previously given me tickets in 6 Lok Sabha Elections. I may not be contesting elections this time but will put in all my efforts to once again to make Narendra Modi the PM of our great nation,'' Hussain said taking to micro-blogging site Twitter.

Mr Hussain, the national spokesperson of the BJP, who lost marginally from Bhagalpur during 2014 LS poll, was denied ticket this time.

The BJP leader said he continues to enjoy the faith of BJP Karyakartas and senior leaders including blessings of BJP National President Amit Shah.
''I can never forget the love & affection showered on me by the people of Bhagalpur! I have always stood by the people of Bhagalpur & will continue to do so, always!,'' he said in another tweet.

He said he will not be contesting from Bhagalpur this time as part of NDA alliance in Bihar, ''Nitish Kumar's JD-U has taken this seat along with seats of 6 sitting MPs of BJP''.

''However, I will work hard for the party in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019,'' he said.

JD-U has fielded Ajay Kumar Mandal from Bhagalpur constituency.
