Lok Sabha polls: Counting trends show NDA set to form govt

New Delhi, May 16 (IBNS): Counting of votes in the Lok Sabha polls started on Friday as early trends showed the BJP-led NDA is all set to form the next government at the Centre under the prime ministerialship of Narendra Modi.
As per the trends at 9.50 am, the NDA is ahead in 259 seats, while the BJP is ahead in 221.
 
The UPA is ahead in 70, while the Congress is ahead in 59.
 
The AAP is ahead in 4 seats.
 
The BSP is ahead in 6 seats.
 
The TMC is ahead in 23 seats.
 
The AIADMK is ahead in 22 seats,
 
The SP is ahead in 8 seats.
 
Others are head in 50 seats.
 
Counting of votes started at 8 am.
