LJP leader awarded life imprisonment for murder in Bihar

Patna, Sep 6 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): A local court in Bihar on Wednesday awarded life imprisonment to a LJP leader for killing a youth a decade ago.

District and sessions judge, Begusarai, GR Tripathy sentenced LJP leader Arvind Singh to life term along with five other accused persons under various sections of the IPC.

The accused persons had shot dead the youth, Rakesh Kumar, on May 4, 2006 when he was returning home after playing a cricket match.

The incident had taken place near Mali Tola under Matihani police station in Begusarai district.

Initially, the LJP leader was not named the accused in the case, but during the course of investigation he too was found involved.
