Kovind welcomes Donald Trump and Melania for dinner banquet at Rashtrapati Bhavan

New Delhi/IBNS: Indian President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday received US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi on Tuesday evening.

Kovind and his wife Savita are hosting a dinner banquet in the honour of the US President.

Earlier in the day, Trump held talks with Indian PM Narendra Modi and followed it with a joint media address.

As the US President is gearing up to complete his visit to India, Donald Trump on Tuesday said he had a 'great time' during his stay in the country.

He described India as a 'tremendous country'.

Trump arrived in India on Monday for his two-day visit to the south Asian nation.

He attended the Namaste Trump event in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat which was attended by over one lakh people.

Trump also visited Taj Mahal and Sabarmati Ashram during his trip to India.

This was his first visit to India since being elected as the President of the USA.
