Kolkata: Trinamool party office burnt in Nadia

| @indiablooms | Feb 26, 2019, at 05:15 pm

Krishnagar, Feb 26 (UNI): The Trinamool Congress Party office at Anandapur village in Ranghat in Nadia district caught fire in the early hours of Monday.

Tension gripped the area after the incident, following which allegations and counter-allegations ensued between Trinamool supporters and BJP workers.

The Trinamool activists are treating the fire as arson and alleging that it was the doing of the BJP.

The local BJP leadership has, however, rejected the allegations and said the fire was the result of the infighting in the ruling party.

An FIR has been lodged by the TMC in this connection in Taherpur police station. Police has started investigation based on this complaint.
