Kolkata, Feb 27 (IBNS): Kolkata Police's Special Task Force (STF) on Tuesday midnight arrested two suspected members of terror outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Murshidabad district of West Bengal, officials said on Wednesday.

According to reports, based on specific source inputs, a joint team of Kolkata STF and Murshidabad district police carried out a raid and nabbed two JMB suspects, who have been identified as Musibur Rahman and Rahul Amin alias Safiulla.

Senior STF officials said that explosives had been recovered from their possessions.

"Explosives and chemicals like sulphuric acid, aluminium dust and calether, which are used to make acid-bombs, have been recovered from their possessions," a STF officer told IBNS.

"We are grilling them to know what was their plan and why they were assembling these explosives and chemicals," the official added.

However, the duo is being brought to Kolkata and they will be produced before a STF special court in the city on Wednesday afternoon.
