Kolkata, Oct 28 (UNI) Detection of smoke on the tracks of Dum Dum-bound train at Rabindra Sadan station forced partial suspension of Metro services in the city on Monday.

Metro services were disrupted after the authorities partially suspended train movement as a "precautionary measure" as a motorman of a Dum Dum-bound train detected smoke on the tracks near Rabindra Sadan station.

A technical team has rushed to rectify the snag.

"Services between Chandni Chawk and Tollygunge have been suspended as a precautionary measure. Officials are inspecting the site, where the smoke was first noticed by the motorman," according to Metro spokesperson Indrani Banerjee here.
