Kolkata fire : Presidency University's canteen gutted

Kolkata, Jan 16 (IBNS): A major fire broke out in the canteen of Kolkata's iconic Presidency University on Monday early morning, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first noticed at around 6:15 am. at the kitchen and it spread quickly to the rest  of the canteen.

As many as six fire  engines rushed to the spot and firemen fought for hours to bring the blaze under control.

No casualty was reported in the incident, but the canteen was gutted completely.

The state's Fire department has started a probe to know the exact reason behind the fire.
