Kolkata: Fire breaks out at Park Street high rise, none hurt

Kolkata, May 16 (IBNS): A major fire broke out in a multi-storey building in south Kolkata's Park Street area on Tuesday, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first noticed at around 11 am. inside a tea-stall on the ground floor of Kohinoor building.

As many as five fire tender engines, city police and Disaster Management Group (DMG) personnel rushed to the scene and firemen fought for nearly an hour to bring the blaze under control.

Fire officials said that as the building was completely evacuated, shortly the fire broke out, and the blaze was doused before it reached to other parts of the multi-storey, none was injured in the incident.

However, fire department and police have started investigation into the case to know the exact reason behind the fire.
