Based on it, the police searched for his whereabouts. On Sunday, Kashipur police station was informed about a body lying in the midst of bamboo growth close to his house. The police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.

According to police sources, Dipankar was missing for several days. Police claimed that he must have died a few days ago as his body was recovered in a decomposed state.
