Kiren Rijiju accuses Congress of ruining Jammu and Kashmir

The blame game started following the BJP's decision to pull out of an alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rijiju took to Twitter to say, "Sardar Patel ji solved all other regions. Nehru ji took charge of Kashmir & created more trouble. Thousands of people were killed, Kashmiri Pandits were slaughtered while more than 1,60,000 were forced out. Your family & party ruined Kashmir & you are accusing BJP?"

Rahul on Tuesday slammed the BJP and the PDP and said they were engaged in an 'opportunistic' alliance to set Jammu and Kashmir on fire.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti also handed over her resignation to the Governor, making way for President's Rule in the north Indian state.

"The opportunistic BJP-PDP alliance set fire to J&K, killing many innocent people including our brave soldiers. It cost India strategically & destroyed years of UPA’s hard work. The damage will continue under President’s rule. Incompetence, arrogance & hatred always fails," Rahul had tweeted.

BJP's Kashmir In-charge Ram Madhav on Tuesday told media that "it has become untenable for the BJP to continue with PDP", terminating the alliance in the northern state.

BJP national president Amit Shah had earlier summoned BJP ministers from the state of Jammu and Kashmir to discuss the end of Ramzan ceasefire, that upset the saffron outfit's ally PDP, according to media reports.

The rift between the two parties- which ran the Jammu and Kashmir government- became prominent once again after the Centre decided to resume the anti-terror operations.

The PDP still maintains that the central government must reach out to the separatists to resolve the crisis in the valley.
