Kill those who have looted Kashmir: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik tells terrorists

| @indiablooms | Jul 22, 2019, at 09:38 am

Srinagar, July 22 (IBNS):  Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik triggered a controversy on Sunday when he asked terrorists to  target those who have "looted the entire wealth" of the state.

He said terrorists should not target innocent civilians and security forces.

"These people are taking up guns in their hands and killing PSOs (personal security officers), SPOs (special police officers). Why are you killing them? Kill those who robbed your country. Kill those who have looted Kashmir," Malik was quoted as saying by the media  at the inauguration of the Kargil and Ladakh tourism festival at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Kargil.

He said the Government of India will never go down before a gun.

Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah reacted strong against the comment and said: " This man, ostensibly a responsible man occupying a constitutional position, tells militants to kill politicians perceived to be corrupt. Perhaps the man should find out about his own reputation in Delhi these days before sanctioning unlawful killings & kangaroo courts."

" Save this tweet - after today any mainstream politician or serving/retired bureaucrat killed in J&K has been murdered on the express orders of the Governor of J&K Satyapal Malik," he said.
