Kerala not a fertile land for growth of BJP due to secular nature of state: Pinarayi Vijayan

| @indiablooms | Apr 03, 2021, at 08:08 pm

Kannur/UNI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said that "Kerala is not a fertile land suitable for the growth of BJP due to the secular nature of the state."

The resistance put up by the CPI(M) against the Sangh Parivar and the secular mind of people are the main hurdles for the growth of BJP in the state, he said.

Addressing a press conference here, he claimed that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) will ''close'' the lone account of BJP in Kerala Assembly from Nemom constituency in this election.

He also said that the BJP will not win a single seat in the April 6 Assembly poll and even lose their vote share across the state.

Vijayan alleged that in the last assembly election, BJP had won the Nemom constituency with the support of the Congress party.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP national leaders are speaking about the development of Kerala during their election campaign. But actually the central government had tried to destabilize the development of the state, he alleged.

"The people of Kerala will never forget the stand taken by the Central government towards Kerala during the flood time," the Chief Minister said.

Though central forces and rice quota was provided during the floods, they sought its cost by forgetting the Central governments' responsibility towards a state during a crisis, Vijayan said.

He alleged that the Congress and the BJP unitedly tried to attack the LDF government as 'twin brothers'.

The people of Kerala have recognized it and they will give a befitting reply to these parties in the election.
