Kerala: CPI(M) man hacked, office burnt

Kozhikode, Mar 3 (IBNS): In a chain of violence involving the turf war between Left and Right forces, a CPI(M) worker was hacked and its party office set ablaze while four persons were injured after a bomb was thrown at the RSS office in Kerala since Thursday, reports said.

A member of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), the youth wing of the ruling CPI(M), was attacked in Palakkad by unidentified men.

The 30-year-old youth, who was hacked in Thursday evening, has  identified against three men, who reportedly belong to the BJP.

According to his complaint, three BJP activists entered his home and attacked him with sharp weapons. The man is being treated in a hospital.

Barely two hours later, four unidentified men threw a crude bomb at the RSS office in Kozhikode's Nadapuram locality, injuring four members of the organisation.

In an apparent retaliation that took place on Friday morning,  the CPI(M) office in Nadapuram was set on fire by unidentified men.

According to reports, the attackers have not been identified yet.
