New Delhi, Aug 16 (IBNS): Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal requested his party members not to celebrate his birthday keeping the critical health condition of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in view.

Kejriwal turned 50 on Thursday.

AAP leader Nagendar Sharma tweeted, "Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal requests party volunteers & well wishers not to celebrate his birthday in view of deteriorating health condition of former Prime Minister Sh Atal Behari Vajpayee ji. Volunteers are requested to refrain from visiting CM residence."

Vajpayee is presently on life support.

Vajpayee, 93, was admitted to the AIIMS with a kidney tract infection, urinary tract infection, low urine output and chest congestion.

He is under the supervision of Dr Randeep Guleria, the Director of AIIMS, who has been his personal physician for decades.

Vajpayee, whose first term as the Prime Minister lasted only 13 days in 1996, was the Prime Minister from 1998 to 2004.

Earlier on Thursday, Kejriwal along with Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia reached the AIIMS to visit Vajpayee.
