Kejriwal defends his hug with Lalu Prasad
New Delhi, Nov 23 (IBNS): A new controversy has sparked off regarding Arvind Kejriwal hugging Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav with the Delhi chief Minister attempting to clear the air.
"He shook my hand and pulled me into a hug and then he held my hand and raise it," NDTV quoted the Delhi chief minister as saying, while adding, "It was projected and questions were asked."
The photograph of the hug went viral. Mediapersons also dug up a two year old tweet where Kejriwal slammed Lalu Prasad over corruption charges.
"Laloo made crores in fodder scam. But no order for recovery of that money. Just 25 lakh fine and few years in jail. A sweet deal," Kejriwal had tweeted.
Defending his stand, Kejriwal on Monday said, "We are against his record of corruption and we'll always oppose it."
