Kashmiri leaders welcome Modi, Sharif meeting

Former J&K CM Omar Abdullah said, "Indo-Pak relations have been plagued by knee-jerk reactions & a lack
of consistency. Looking towards two PMs to correct this time."
“Re-engagement with Pakistan was a good step and a very welcome development. “However more than grand gestures we need consistency,” Omar said.
“Now waiting for the statement from J&K Govt claiming that Mufti Syed was the one who forced PM Modi to visit Lahore today,” said Omar.
Meanwhile, Abdul Gani Bhat, head of Muslim Conference, a constituent of the Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Hurriyat, said his party supports the resumption of dialogue process between India and Pakistan.
