Srinagar/UNI:  Security forces on Wednesday raided the houses of three militants in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said here.

They said personnel from different security agencies on a tip off cordoned off Kareemabad area in Pulwama district early morning. Large number of security forces were deployed in the area to prevent any demonstration.

Later, security forces raided the houses of three militants, including the house of Zahid.

Raids continued when the reports last came in, they said.

The raids were conducted about 24 hours after police arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) during a search operation in Gulbugh area in Pulwama on late Tuesday night .

The OGWs identified as Aquib Maqbool Lone, resident of Ratnipora Pulwama and Naseer Ahmad Hurra, resident of Gulbugh Pulwama.

A police spokesman last night said the OGWs were involved in assisting the active militants operating in the areas of Pulwama. Incriminating materials, including explosive substance and ammunition, were recovered from their possession.
