Kashmir: Security forces launch CASO in Sopore

Srinagar/UNI: Security forces on Monday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district.

According to official sources, on specific information about the presence of militants, troops of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, CRPF and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint CASO at old town Sopore.

All exit points were sealed and roads leading to the CASO area closed.

Later, the forces launched house-to-house searches, they said, adding that so far, no contact was established with the militants.
