Kashmir encounter: One terrorist killed

Pulwama, Dec 28 (IBNS): One terrorist was killed during an encounter with security forces in Awantipora area in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, officials said on Friday.

The deceased terrorist was identified as  Ishfaq Yousuf, police said.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot.

"Exchange of fire between Security forces & #terrorists at Banderpora #Pulwama. Area under cordon. Details will follow. @JmuKmrPolice" Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.

"#Pulwama encounter update: 01 #terrorist identified as Ishfaq Yousuf of Koil Pulwama killed. Arms & ammunition recovered. Case registered. @JmuKmrPolice," read a later tweet.
