After a detailed review, the DDC approved 94 Project Proposals cases under the 'TEJASWANI' scheme for any eligible female entrepreneurs of Srinagar district.

The Chairman DLIC said: “TEJASWINI scheme is aimed to provide financial assistance to young women entrepreneurs for setting up profitable self-employment ventures suited to their skill and training aptitude."

"The purpose of the scheme is also to empower and encourage young women of the District in the age group of 18 to 35 to start their business for income generation activities either in manufacturing, service, trading or small business to earn livelihood."

The scheme partner shall extend the loan facility to the extent of 100 percent of the project cost under the scheme.

Mission Youth shall provide an amount of Rs 50,000 or 10 percent of the project cost as a special incentive (subsidy) towards the loan account of the beneficiary under the scheme.
