Kashmir: At -4.6°C, Srinagar records coldest night of the season

Srinagar/UNI: Srinagar recorded its coldest night of the season with temperature dropping to minus 4.6 degrees Celsius, as the cold wave continues to sweep the entire valley.

South Kashmir’s Shopian was the coldest place in Kashmir as temperature dropped to minus 5.9 °C.

As per the Meteorological Centre’s data, Srinagar recorded a low of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius, against minus 2.4 degrees Celsius the previous night,

The night temperature at the tourist resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir dropped to minus 5.0 °C.

The minimum overnight temperature at the ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir was recorded minus 4.2°C.

The overnight temperature in Kupwara in north Kashmir was minus 3.0 °C.

The MeT Centre Srinagar has predicted a dry weather December 11 and fall in temperature in coming days. There is a possibility of Western Disturbance that may hit J&K next week, which could bring light rain and snow in the isolated higher regions.
