Srinagar/UNI: Three civilians were injured in a grenade attack by militants in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, here on Tuesday.

Official sources said that militants lobbed a grenade at a security force party at Rajpora in Pulwama.

“The grenade missed the target and exploded at a distance, resulting in injuries to three civilians,” they said, adding the wounded were immediately taken to a hospital.

They said the militants managed to escape from the spot in the chaos created by the explosion.

“Additional security forces have been rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers,” they added.
