Karnataka Speaker issued summons to 15 rebel MLAs to appear before him

Bengaluru, Jul 22 (UNI): The Karnataka Assembly speaker, has summoned 15 rebel Congress and the JD(S) MLAs, who had submitted their resignations to their membership, to appear before him on Tuesday.

According to official sources, the Speaker has issued summons to verify the fact whether the resignations which were submitted to him are that of done with free will or with coercion.

Among the 15 MLAs, 13 were presently staying in Mumbai, awaiting the fate of the Confidence motion, moved by the Chief Minister in the Karnataka Assembly.

The MLAs, who were issued summons are Ramesh Jarakiholi, Umesh Kumatalli, Shivaram Hebbar, B C Patil, Byrathi Basavaraj, Munirathna, Somashekhar, H Vishwanath, K Gopalaiah, Narayana Gowda, Dr K Sudhakar, M T B Nagaraj, Anand Singh, and Roshan Baig.
