Kangra to get a super specialty hospital soon

Kangra, Sept 22  (UNI)  Kangra town in this hill state was grooming up as a Health care hub  with a number of hospitals in both government and private sector including a medical college in government sector providing health care for the people of this region and now a multi-crore Super Specialty hospital was coming in the private sector for which MoU was signed between the Health Department of Himachal Pradesh government and private hospital management.
     

Ajay Kumar Gupta Director Health Services Himachal Pradesh on Sunday told UNI  that during a global investor meet  at Shimla held recently  MoU  was signed between the Health Department of Himachal Pradesh Government and Dr Pradeep Makkar, Dr Ashish Garg, Dr Rajiv Dogra and Manish Sharma      for opening up of City Super Specialty Hospital on Palampur road in the outskirts of this town.
     
Dr Gupta said the MoU was signed under ‘Swasth mai Sehbagayadari Yojna’ a state government program to promote the private sector hospitals in order to provide health care facilities to the people of the state at their door step. He said that the investors will be offered enplanement of various health schemes including ‘ Aaushman and Him care programs’ so that people are benefited of these schemes through these hospitals.
     
Dr Gupta  said that this was first such MoU signed between the Health Department of HP government  and  Private investors in the field of Health Care sector in the state.
 

Dr. Rajesh Guleri District Health Officer Kangra told UNI that the investors will get subsidy in the capital investment and on soft loans subject to the fulfillment of the conditions laid down by the government.

     
Dr.  Pradeep Makkar, the investor told UNI that this Super Specialty hospital will be a project of Rs. 50 crores. He said that this hospital will have Super Specialty departments of Cardiology, Trauma Centre with a Neurosurgery and Ortho Cancer branches besides will have MRI and Pet Scan facilities.
     
Kangra town coming up as Health care hub  has Dr. Rajinder Prasad Government Medical College with a Super Specialty Hospital at Tanda in government sector besides in private sector there is Fortis Hospital, Bala Ji hospital, City hospital, two Eye Hospitals, a mission hospital and other private hospitals and an Ayurvedic hospital too which are attracting lot of many patients from within the state and outside.
