J&K: PDP worker shot dead in Anantnag

Srinagar, Aug 19 (IBNS): Suspected militants shot dead a ruling Peoples Democratic Party worker at Dailgam area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district, police said on Saturday.

According to reports, militants opened fire upon the PDP worker Mohd Isaaq Parray from point blank range in Dailgam village of Anantnag town and left him seriously injured.

He was shifted to nearby hospital in serious conditions where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Soon after the incident, a joint team of Army, SOG and CRPF launched a man hunt to nab the assailants.
