J&K: Fresh encounter in Pulwama, 1 militant killed

Srinagar, Aug 6 (IBNS) A fierce gun battle has started between security forces and militants in South Kashmir' Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources said on Thursday.

On specific information about the presence of some militants in Astan Mohalla area of Kakapora Pulwama, security forces have cordoned off the area and surrounded a house where the terrorists are holed up. 

Senior police official told IBNS that one militant was killed so far and another is still inside the house.

The officials said security forces are on job to neutralize another militant.
