Jharkhand: Four ultras including sub zonal commander of JPC awarded five years imprisonment

Daltonganj, May 14 (UNI) A local court in the Palamu district has today awarded five years of imprisonment to four ultras including a sub zonal commander of the Jharkhand Prastuti Commitee (JPC).

District and Sessions judge (third) B K Tiwari awarded the imprisonment to the four accused-- Rang Bahadur Singh alias Rakesh, Inderdeo Kumar, Sanjay Singh and Nanddeo Prasad and also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each on them. Failing to pay the fine they would have to undergo further imprisonment of two months each.

These accused had on December 22, 2013, attacked the power sub Station located at Satbarwa and had beaten the employees and snatched their mobile phones and had also demanded an extortion of Rs 2 lakh.

On January 8, 2014 these four men were arrested from Dalsuma Pahadi with arms and later produced before the court.
