Jet Airways restores full flight schedule to Dubai

| | Aug 07, 2016, at 08:19 pm
Dubai, Aug 7 (IBNS): Jet Airways on Sunday informed that it has restored its full flight schedule to Dubai following the resumption of normal operations at Dubai Airport.

This comes after an Emirates flight from India's Thiruvananthapuram  to Dubai crash-landed in Dubai airport on Wednesday.

Images showed that thick plumes of smoke and fire from the aircraft emancipated soon after the ill-fated aircraft had touched down.

Over the last three days, Jet Airways operated wide-body aircraft to Dubai and rerouted its narrow body aircraft to Sharjah to facilitate the travel of its guests ensuring minimum disruption, given the limited operating slots at Dubai.

On these days, Jet Airways operated a total of two A330 and six Boeing 777 flights to and from Dubai  and 18 flights on Boeing 737 aircraft to and from Sharjah to complete the successful transfer of all Dubai-bound guests from India.

"Jet Airways teams in Dubai and Sharjah have worked round the clock at both the airports to facilitate the transit of guests and take care of their requirements due to the unforeseen change in schedules," an official statement by the aviation company said..

Jet Airways flights to the other destinations in the UAE operated as normal.
