New Delhi, Mar 22 (UNI): A Jaish-e-Mohammed militant has been arrested from Lajpat Rai area of the National Capital, official sources said on Friday.

The arrest was made by special cell of Delhi police late Thursday night.

The militant, identified as Sajjad Khan (27), hails from Pulwama and was wanted in a NIA case and under the Unlawful activities Prevention Act.

Sajjad is an associate of Muddasir Khan, the Pulwama attack mastermind who was killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in J&K recently, the sources said.

Sajjad was tasked to establish sleeper cells in Delhi.

Forty CRPF personnel were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack on Feb 14.

Earlier in January, Delhi police was successful in nabbing two JeM terrorists who were planning terror strikes in the National Capital on Republic Day.
